Private beta

Free while it's in beta.

Lull is in a small, invite-only beta right now, so it's free to use – no account, no card, nothing to buy.

Pricing

The plan, in the open.

When it's ready, Lull will be a one-time purchase, somewhere around $19 to $29 – never a subscription. Beta testers get first dibs at the lower price. There'll be an optional yearly renewal that adds new sources, but the version you own keeps working either way, with plenty of notice before anything changes.

Questions

Is it really free right now?

Yes. During the invite-only beta Lull is free to use – no account, no card. When it launches it'll be a one-time purchase, and beta testers get first dibs at the early price.

Is this legal?

Lull is a player, like a browser or a media player. It doesn't host, sell, or distribute any content – it plays audio from feeds and links you choose to give it, on your own Mac. Lull isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of the sites it can play from.

Will it keep working?

Honestly: some sites change how they work from time to time, and playback from those link sources can briefly break – true of every tool in this category. My job is to ship a fix fast, and podcasts, radio, and your own files keep playing regardless. In beta especially, telling me when something breaks is the most useful thing you can do.
