Privacy Policy

Lull is made by Alex Halchenko, the operator of lull-player.co.uk. It is built to collect as little as possible. There is no account, and the App does not require you to sign in. Lull is currently in a private, invite-only beta and is free.

What the App collects

• Nothing about what you listen to. The feeds, links, and files you play stay on your Mac. We do not receive, log, or store your listening activity or library.
• Licence keys are verified on your device. Your key is checked against a public key built into the App. During the beta, activating a key also makes a single check-in to our licensing server, sending a random device identifier (a UUID that is not linked to your identity) and the key's id – so one beta key cannot unlock unlimited Macs. This carries no listening activity, no library, and no other personal data.
• Optional, anonymous diagnostics. If you leave diagnostics enabled, the App may send anonymous, aggregated usage and crash information (for example, that a feature was used or that a source failed) to help us fix problems. It contains no personal data and none of the content you play, and you can turn it off.

Website

Our website uses privacy-respecting, cookie-light analytics that do not track you across sites or build an advertising profile.

Payments

During the beta there is nothing to buy, so no payment information is collected. When Lull goes on sale, payments will be processed by Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the information needed to take your payment and meet tax obligations, under its own Privacy Notice. To deliver a licence key we send one transactional email to the address associated with the purchase. We do not add you to a marketing list without your consent, and licence email is kept separate from any marketing list.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under UK or EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we hold very little, essentially the email tied to a purchase, most requests are simple. Email us and we will help.
